Goddard Public Schools Hall Of Fame
The Goddard Education Foundation established the Goddard Hall of Fame in 2018 to celebrate, honor, and recognize the service, success, and achievements of Goddard Public Schools alumni, staff, and friends who are making a difference.
The GEF recognizes the legacy of those who have gone ahead of us and, in part because of their Goddard education, have made a positive impact on the world. These stories continue to draw inspiration for the next generation of alumni and staff who will continue the legacy of excellence.
Thank You for Celebrating Our Hall of Fame Class of 2026
The Goddard Education Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on September 18, 2026, to help celebrate the Goddard Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
This cherished tradition brings together the entire #265Family, including current and former staff, alumni, and community members, to honor an extraordinary group of individuals who have made a lasting impact on Goddard Public Schools.
Whether you are a lifelong resident, a proud graduate, or a dedicated staff member, past or present, the Hall of Fame provides a unique opportunity to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the rich legacy and bright future of our district.
We were honored to welcome home and recognize five remarkable members of the #265Family:
Coach Dan Buchanan dedicated 26 years to education and coaching, impacting generations of students and student-athletes through his leadership, relationships, and commitment to helping young people grow both on and off the court.
Dr. Mary Cohen, GHS Class of 1986, built an internationally recognized career as a music educator, researcher, author, and advocate for the transformative power of music, carrying lessons first nurtured in Goddard into classrooms and communities around the world.
Jerry Longabaugh devoted more than 25 years to serving Goddard Public Schools as an educator and administrator, including his leadership as principal of Eisenhower Middle School, and continues his service today as a member of the Goddard Board of Education.
Dr. Michael Vivion, GHS Class of 1962, was an educator, scholar, innovator, and world traveler whose life took him far beyond Goddard while never diminishing the importance of the relationships and experiences that shaped him here. Though Mike passed away just days before the ceremony, his family, friends, stories, and spirit were deeply present throughout the celebration.
Dr. Christopher Warren, GHS Class of 1992, built a distinguished career of service through the United States Air Force, the FBI, and his work preserving and sharing our nation's history, demonstrating how a foundation built in Goddard can lead to a lifetime of service far beyond our community.
