The Second grade classes performed a music concert Tuesday night. The theme was Let's Play In The Snow. Thank you to Mrs. Mann and the second grade teachers for helping the students with such an amazing performance. The highlight of the program was the light show with snowflakes. Way to go Second grade!

Congratulations to these students. They participated in a writing contest sponsored by Young Writers. These students' writing samples were chosen to be included in a publication titled Spooky Saga--Twilight Terror. We are very proud of them.

Amelia Earhart Preschool had a visitor from the library last week. The students enjoyed the presentation and always love listening to stories. Thank you Goddard Public Library!

Erin Johnston is the new head coach for the Goddard High School Lady Lions basketball team. See the flier for information about the 3rd annual Holiday Hoops basketball camp.

A few dental students from WSU came and visited first grade on Friday, December 1st. They taught us about plaque and how to keep our teeth clean and healthy. The ladies passed out a small gift to every student which included toothpaste, toothbrush, some floss and other treasures as a reminder to eat healthy.

As we celebrate National Special Education Day, we have a lot of things to be excited about as we enter our third year of being the host district in the Goddard Special Education Cooperative. Our cooperative serves 1,732 students in 21 school buildings within the communities of Goddard, Clearwater, Conway Springs, and Cheney. Our cooperative also serves students with disabilities who attend St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Wichita, Holy Spirit in Goddard, St. Joseph in Conway Springs, and St. Peter in Schulte. Our staff in these communities do an incredible job of working with all students regardless of their disability. They define the mission of our cooperative, that all students can learn together in a school community and participate meaningfully via inclusive education systems that meet the unique needs of all students.

Mrs. Powell and Mrs. Keisha gave EAR a makeover, over fall break! Students helped by coloring feathers for the wings. We love to see the bright colors and smiling faces everyday.
